Range: Native to much of Asia, including China, Japan, and India as well as many islands in the Pacific.

Habitat: Varied. Depending on the specific species within the genus, Dendrobiums have adapted to a wide variety of habitats, from the high altitudes in the Himalayan mountains to lowland tropical forests and even to the dry climate of the Australian desert.

Temperature Requirements: Intermediate-Warm. Some species may need cooler temperatures and a dry winter rest to set blooms.
